This foundational course will help you identify, engage, and support caregivers. The course is for interprofessional care teams, with a focus on primary care.

Objectives:

  1. Describe the benefits of caregiver engagement in primary care. 

  1. Describe when and how to identify members of a patient’s caregiving team. 

  1. Demonstrate how to include caregivers as an integral part of your health care team. 

  1. Review strategies that promote caregivers' well-being and their ability to support your patients.
