This course describes how to engage kin and grandfamily caregivers in primary care, improving patient care and caregiver well-being.

Objectives:

  1. Define kin and grandfamily caregivers.
  2. Describe the benefits of identifying and engaging kin and grandfamily caregivers in the primary care of a minor.
  3. Demonstrate how to include kin and grandfamily caregivers as an integral part of your health care team.
  4. Identify a caregiver's unmet needs and support them with resources to improve their well-being.
